One of the things I have learned while running my own home based business is that self development is vital. Every day, one should make the commitment to read 10 pages of a good book or listen to a good audio CD. Reading 10 pages is easy enough to do and anyone can fit that into their schedule. Even 5 pages is better than none. Most people have CD players or cassette players in their cars. Our computers usually have CD players so you can listen while you work.
I have listed some of the books and ebooks here that I have enjoyed reading and have changed my views and philosophies about my own self development.
Most of the readings/recordings found here were either obtained through book resellers, the local library, borrowed, or found for free on the Internet.
As I read and listen to more and more materials, I will add them to this site. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

"Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert T. Kiyosaki
What the Rich Teach Their kids about Monday - That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!
I found this book to be a fun and fast read and had a lot of good points about how to think about money, how to make money work for you as opposed to you working for it. Mr. Kiyosaki goes into great detail about his two dads and the lessons that each one have taught him.
"Rich Dad The Business School", 2nd edition, by Robert Kiyosaki
For People Who Like Helping People
I absolutely LOVED and highly recommend this books. IT completely opened my eyes as to why MLM and Network Marketing make sense. It goes into the details of what separates people from being an employee, self employed, business owner, and investor in an easy to digest format.
"The Slight Edge", by Jeff Olson
Secret to as Successful Life
This book goes into the philosophy behind being successful. There is a lot of repetition in this book, but for good reason. It is to emphasize the importance of how to make the slight edge work for you. The slight edge is those little steps you take that might not look like a big deal now, but over time they compound and how they affect your life later makes all the difference.
"The 5 Lessons A Millionaire Taught Me About Life and Wealth" by Richard Paul Evans
I actually listened to this one as an audio CD from the library and was really impressed with it that I added it to the list. It goes over how to make wealth by finding the ways to see opportunity outside of every day life as well as how to save money to create wealth. It's a quick listen, maybe 2 hours total, but packed with lots of great information to ponder.
"The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne
It is no doubt that most of us have heard of "The Secret" by now. I remember watching the video at a mom's group a few years back. This most recent version I picked up at the library on audio CD and listened to it on my computer while doing other stuff. This book talks about how to align the universe to get what you want out of life. Whether you believe what is taught here or not, it's great life wisdom to incorporate easily into your daily activities.
"The Success Journey" The Process of Living Your Dreams by John C. Maxwell
I LOVED this book. It definitely focuses on how to be successful by the journey you take and how to take that journey to fit your life. For anyone that wants to find true success in their lives, whatever that may be, this is one book you will want to add to your library.
"Think and Grow Rich" by Napolean Hill
Although this book was written in 1938, its teaching hold great value even in today's market. It follows the Andrew Carnegie formula for making money. "The Secret" comprises much of its teaching through the lessons taught in this book. This is a must read for anyone that wants to make money and fulfill their dreams.
